If you are interested in the Northern Lights and local history our trips will be perfect for you. Northern Lights safari in the autumn or at wintertime. With our private minivan, we go out to hunt for the magnificent Northern Lights. Duration approx. 3 hours
The tour starts and ends at Sorrisniva.
From September to the end of March, you can see and experience the Northern Lights with us - join our guide and hunt for the aurora borealis. During to the aurora forecast and weather forecast our guides take you to the best spot to see the Northern Lights.
Depending on the weather you can explore different parts of Alta region, the coastline and maybe the areas where the Sami people lives. The guide has knowledge about the Northern Lights, basic photo knowledge, and can also tell you about the culture and history of Alta, and how it has been to grow up with the aurora borealis.
During the trip, you will have time to enjoy the silence and the winter darkness on your way to find the Northern Lights. Our guide will ensure that you’re having a great time, answer all your questions and also help you with your own camera.
Our minivan takes maximum 7 people so you won't be a crowd. Sorrisniva does however reserve the right to use a bigger minibus with 16 seats (15 guests and 1 guide)
The guide will meet you at Sorrisniva at 20:00 or 19:30 at Scandic for those who have requested transport from the city Centre to Sorrisniva prior to the tour (additional cost).
You will head towards the best spot to see the Northern Lights (normally 0,5-1 hour drive)
The guide will tell you stories around the places you pass.
Bring your own camera, the guide can help you to take photos
The guide will also take photos during the trip
