Arctic light snowmobile experience

Our 3-hour Arctic Light Snowmobile Experience has you driving your own snowmobile through the wilderness of the Alta River valley up to the inland plateau. During the winter months the Arctic light often creates wonderful colours on the horizon despite the sun never rising. This adventure offers a combination of exhilarating snowmobiling and the Arctic wilderness under the special Arctic light conditions.

• Balaclava / buff
• Safety instructions
• Warm beverage and a snack
• Stops along the trail with storytelling.

What to bring / wear:

• Wool socks
• Wool underwear
• Beanie or other warm headwear
• Warm outdoor clothing (fleece / wool sweater).

Minimum / maximum: 2 / 10

Sorrisniva AS operates with a minimum of 2 participants and reserves the right to cancel the experience if the minimum is not reached.

Transport:

For guests who are not staying overnight, kindly note that this activity does not include transportation to and from Alta. If transportation is required, please make a separate booking for this service.

Disclaimer:

All drivers need to be minimum 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license (minimum class B) to present to your guide, either as a physical license or a copy. All participants are required to sign a liability waiver before the start of the tour.

By law, it is prohibited to drive a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol or narcotics, and Sorrisniva AS reserves the right to refuse participation upon suspicion of intoxication.

Sorrisniva AS reserves the right to adjust or cancel the experience due to poor weather conditions, if guests’ safety cannot be guaranteed, or in case of unforeseen events.  

If you have an existing reservation that you would like to associate with a new booking with experiences, please make the reservation online and contact us at booking@sorrisniva.no with this information. However, if both your room reservation and experience reservation are made under the same name, there is no need to reach out.
